Located in Johannesburg, South Africa, Alma Mater High School, established in 1998, forms part of a continuous educational journey from 3 months to Grade 12, providing a seamless and structured pathway to academic excellence.

As a Cambridge International curriculum-focused school, our High School (Grades 7–12) is designed to prepare learners for the demands of tertiary study and the global landscape beyond. With a strong emphasis on academic rigour, critical thinking, and independent learning, students are equipped with the skills needed to excel in their IGCSE and A Level examinations.

At this level, learners are encouraged to take ownership of their education — developing discipline, resilience, and a clear sense of purpose. Our subject offerings are supported by dedicated, experienced educators who challenge and guide students to achieve their personal best.

Beyond academics, Alma Mater High School provides opportunities for growth through sport, leadership, technology, and specialised programmes, including high-performance pathways that support student-athletes without compromising academic standards.

We are committed to developing confident, capable young adults who are not only prepared for university, but are also ready to contribute meaningfully to the world around them
